#1 – Heavy Duty Materials Upgrade
Gutters are made out of metal. And Idaho’s scorching hot summers, and freezing cold winters, means your gutters are constantly moving–expanding in the heat and contracting in the cold.
This dramatic change in weather means your gutters need to be higher quality or they will begin to crack, leak, sag, and need repair or replacement.
The typical gutter company in Idaho uses standard 27 gauge–or .027 gauge–thickness, light-duty aluminum, for their gutters. These light duty gutters cost less, but they do not last!

Idaho gets heavy rain. And, your gutter is meant to protect your home and foundation from damage caused by excessive water.
If your gutters are too small, they won’t be able to move the volume of water caused by rain, snow, and other forms of precipitation.
Most gutter companies in Boise use low volume, 5″ standard gutters on homes they services.
But these gutters often don’t provide the necessary protection that most Boise homeowners need.

Standard gutters have seams. These seams are created when gutters are pieced together and assembled in shorter sections. Where these sections meet, a seam is created.
This process of using smaller sections and seams for your gutters is less effective and causes issues.
First, these seams get clogged easier, causing backup issues and making it so your gutters don’t work properly.
Second, they require more moving parts which means more potential areas for damage and repair. This can end up costing you more in the long run.
Lastly, they don’t look as sleek as they require bulky joints on the gutter that stick out and just don’t look as nice.
Seamed gutters are cheaper, that’s why many companies use them. But, while cutting corners help saves money in the short term, it’s not the best solution for actually saving money in the long term.
